The Watermaker

We are offering 3 types of the watermakers

Which one best suits your requirements ?

1. Watermaker with control panel mounted directly on the membrane housing
2. Watermaker with control panel not mounted on the membrane housing with extension
3. Watermaker without control panel

The most common process is so-called reverse osmosis. To do this, you need a membrane that allows water molecules to pass through but retains the salt components. Basically a kind of physical-chemical sieve with tiny holes in the nanometer range. The water is pressed through them so that you have salt-free water on one side and the remaining brine on the other side. However, you cannot press the water all the way through because otherwise the concentration in the brine would continue to increase and at some point the pores in the membrane would be blocked by salt crystals.
This is called “reverse osmosis” because such membranes normally cause salt concentrations to equalize. Normally - if no external pressure is applied - the water would move towards the higher salt concentration. This happens all the time in nature. When we salt a tomato, the cells release water through the cell membrane. Many processes in our body are also based on this osmosis.
With reverse osmosis, the process goes in the other direction by forcing the water through the membrane with a lot of pressure against its natural direction. This is currently the most widely used process with which drinking water is obtained on ocean-going ships or in large desalination plants in dry areas, such as in the Middle East.
We use a 2,5"x40" and a 2,5"x21"membrane to do this job.
